ACSD-48300: return cannot be created if configurable product is removed
The ACSD-48300 patch fixes the issue where a return cannot be created if the configurable product is removed. This patch is available when the [!DNL Quality Patches Tool (QPT)] 1.1.25 is installed. The patch ID is ACSD-48300. Please note that the issue is scheduled to be fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.6.

The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version:
Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.3
Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:
Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.0 - 2.4.5-p1
NOTE
The patch might become applicable to other versions with new [!DNL Quality Patches Tool] releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches
package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the QPT landing page . Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.
Issue
Return cannot be created if the configurable product is removed.
Steps to reproduce :
Enable RMA on the storefront at [!UICONTROL Stores] > [!UICONTROL Configuration] > [!UICONTROL Sales] > [!UICONTROL Sales] > [!UICONTROL RMA Settings] .
Create a configurable product.
On the storefront, create an account (and/or log in).
Add a configurable product to the cart as the first item.
Add any simple product afterward.
Place the order.
Ship the order.
Now delete the configurable product only (do not delete its child products).
On the storefront, go to [!UICONTROL My Orders] and view the order.
Click on [!UICONTROL Return] .
Expected results :
The admin is able to return items even though the configurable product is deleted.
Actual results :
An error occurs when returning items.
