ACSD-48300: return cannot be created if configurable product is removed
The ACSD-48300 patch fixes the issue where a return cannot be created if the configurable product is removed. This patch is available when the [!DNL Quality Patches Tool (QPT)] 1.1.25 is installed. The patch ID is ACSD-48300. Please note that the issue is scheduled to be fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.6.
Affected products and versions
The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version:
- Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.3
Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:
- Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.0 - 2.4.5-p1
NOTE
The patch might become applicable to other versions with new [!DNL Quality Patches Tool] releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches
package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the QPT landing page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.
Issue
Return cannot be created if the configurable product is removed.
Steps to reproduce:
- Enable RMA on the storefront at [!UICONTROL Stores] > [!UICONTROL Configuration] > [!UICONTROL Sales] > [!UICONTROL Sales] > [!UICONTROL RMA Settings].
- Create a configurable product.
- On the storefront, create an account (and/or log in).
- Add a configurable product to the cart as the first item.
- Add any simple product afterward.
- Place the order.
- Ship the order.
- Now delete the configurable product only (do not delete its child products).
- On the storefront, go to [!UICONTROL My Orders] and view the order.
- Click on [!UICONTROL Return].
Expected results:
The admin is able to return items even though the configurable product is deleted.
Actual results:
An error occurs when returning items.
