MDVA-31791 patch: improvement for product page with related products and target rules

The MDVA-31791 patch improves the performance of product pages, when Related products or Related products rules (target rules) are used. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.0.9 is installed. Please note that the issue was fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.1.

The patch was created for Adobe Commerce version:

Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure 2.4.0

Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:

Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure and Adobe Commerce on-premises 2.3.4, 2.3.4-p1, 2.3.4-p2, 2.4.0, 2.4.0-p1

NOTE

The patch might become applicable to other versions with new Quality Patches Tool releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the [!DNL Quality Patches Tool]: Search for patches page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.

Issue

Low performance of products pages if Related products or Target rules are used.

Consider applying the MDVA-31791 patch if you will use Related product or Related product rules functionality.
