MDVA-34102: inconsistent salable quantity

The MDVA-34102 patch solves the issue where the quantity of default stock is zero for disabled products on the Product Grid and Edit Product pages in the Admin. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.0.18 is installed. The patch ID is MDVA-34102. Please note that the issue is scheduled to be fixed in Adobe Commerce version 2.4.3.

Affected products and versions

The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version:

Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure 2.3.5-p2

Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:

Adobe Commerce on-premises and Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure 2.3.0-2.4.2

NOTE

The patch might become applicable to other versions with new Quality Patches Tool releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the [!DNL Quality Patches Tool]: Search for patches page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.

Issue

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Setup two websites with stores and store views.
  2. Create an additional source and stock.
  3. Add a simple product:
    • Set Enable Product = No.
    • Assign two sources with Source Item Status = In Stock with a quantity greater than zero (Example: default stock = 123 and UK stock = 123).
  4. Save the product.
  5. Check the Product Salable Quantity tab.

Expected results:

Both the default stock and the UK stock = 123.

The quantity of default stock is shown correctly for disabled products on the Product Grid and Edit Product pages in the Admin.

Actual results:

The default stock = 0 and the UK stock = 123.

The quantity of default stock is zero for disabled products on the Product Grid and Edit Product pages in the Admin.
