The MDVA-38608 patch fixes the issue where temporary tables for unsuccessful reindexes are not deleted. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.0.26 is installed. The patch ID is MDVA-38608. Please note that the issue was fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.3.

Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:
Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.3.0 - 2.4.2-p1

package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the QPT landing page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.
Issue
Temporary tables are not deleted when the reindex is not finished successfully.
Steps to reproduce:
- Run reindex.
- Reindex fails.
Expected results:
Temporary tables are deleted.
Actual results:
Temporary tables are NOT deleted.
